Robert Sivell designed and led painting of large murals in what was then the University of Aberdeen's Student Union. The murals were in the main dining (and drinking) room, nicknamed Sivell's (Pub). The murals were an ambitious project, painted with some student assistance, and were probably never fully completed. The level of detail and finish was not fully consistent in all sections. These murals have been identified for historic protection, but became inaccessible after the University sold this downtown building. Some effort has been made to reopen this space as a commercial pub, but there is no recent news of this effort.
